Officials Say 'Suspicious Package' Found In North Baltimore Is Now Safe
BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- Officials say that the unattended backpack in North Baltimore that was being investigated by the Baltimore City police as a potential bomb threat is now safe.
Police received reports of a suspicious package about 3:30 p.m. Friday in the garage of the M&T Bank on Roland Avenue and Deepdene Road.
By 5 p.m., M&T Bank was cordoned off and all nearby businesses were evacuated. Children at the nearby Roland Park Elementary/Middle School were also not allowed to leave the school.
Northbound and southbound Roland Avenue was closed to traffic.
