Craig Laughlin Celebrates 25 Years Of Broadcasting Capitals Hockey
Craig Laughlin is a former NHL player who is now the color commentator for Capitals games on Comcast Sportsnet and has been for 25 years.
Craig joined Ed and Steve to talk about his broadcasting career and the Capitals clinching a playoff spot.
Craig started out by talking about which teams he is worried about the Caps facing in the playoff, Ed of course asked about the Rangers, Craig said "I'm not really worried about the Rangers this year I think they have a good team but not a great team, I think the Caps have more pieces in place...it looks like it will be the Flyers, the Penguins, or the Red Wings, the Flyers are the best team in hockey right now."
As for whether or not the Caps should start resting players to have them ready for the playoffs Craig said "I'm not a fan of resting players down the stretch unless they're nicked up then give them a day off here and there...Barry Trotz has already started the process of resting guys by giving extra days off of practice."
Craig also talked about his twenty five year career of being the color commentator for Caps games on Comcast Sportsnet.
