Couple Carjacked In Hagerstown, Man Beaten
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office says a couple was carjacked and driven to Pennsylvania, where the man was beaten.
Police say a man asked a woman for directions while she was stopped in her car in Hagerstown about 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Deputies say the man displayed a handgun and forced the woman into the back seat with the male occupant.
Authorities say the suspect drove the car to Chambersburg, Pa. The male passenger was pulled out and assaulted by the suspect and three other men.
After the crime, the woman drove the man to a Hagerstown hospital.
