Coronavirus Latest: Talbot County Confirms First Case Of COVID-19, Declares Local State Of Emergency
EASTON, MD. (WJZ) -- Talbot County has declared a state of emergency for Monday following the county's first COVID-19 case.
The case was confirmed by Health Officer Dr. Fredia Wadley.
The patient was hospitalized after coming into contact with a person in another county infected with the virus. When the Talbot County resident developed symptoms, they were tested and found to be positive for the virus.

The county has activated its Emergency Operations Center in response.
