Convicted Sex Offender Charged In New Cases
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Frederick Police say a man in prison on a child sex abuse conviction has been charged in another case.
Officers say they got information in January about the alleged sex abuse of two young children in 2009 and 2010. Last month, a grand jury returned an indictment charging Jose Manuel Vasquez Hernandez, 30, with sex abuse of a minor and other offenses.
Police say Vasquez Hernandez is serving a 10-year sentence at the Maryland Correctional Institution in Hagerstown after pleading guilty in 2011 to sex abuse of a minor.
Frederick Police served an arrest warrant on Vasquez Hernandez Friday when he was brought to court.
