Conor Jackson From Orioles Spring Training

Baltimore Orioles hopeful Conor Jackson joins The Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to talk about his experience with the Orioles this Spring Training.

Conor talks about why chose the Orioles over other offers, and even if he doesn't make the big league squad he knows if he makes the minor league team he'll still get his shot. He heard a lot of good things about Dan and Buck and hasn't been disappointed yet.

Jackson also talks Buck Showalter and what makes him different than most if not all other coaches in the big league. Buck likes to give guys chances and he knows that with Buck he'll be able to play up. He is a manager that a 30 year old player, who has been around the league, can appreciate.

Conor's career almost ended when he fell ill with Valley Fever. It took 10 months for him to get over it, he lost a bunch of weight and he's still working on getting back on track. He's obviously motivated to get back to playing and starting.

Conor discusses his versatitlity as well, his ability to play firstbase and all three outfield positions. He knows that clubs in the American League really like players who can play anywhere. He has every glove and is prepared to play wherever he can.
