Congressman Appeals For Answers In Va. Slaying
NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- Ten months after a Maryland congressman's nephew was killed in Virginia, the young man's family is seeking answers.
The Virginian-Pilot reports that Christopher Cummings' parents were in Norfolk on Saturday to appeal to the public for help in solving their son's slaying.
James and Rosa Cummings were joined by Rep. Elijah Cummings outside the house where the 20-year-old Old Dominion University student was killed last summer.
Christopher Cummings was fatally shot June 10 in his rental house. His roommate was also shot and survived. The case remains unsolved.
Investigators say they are convinced people who have critical information have not come forward.
Police are accepting tips on the investigation by calling 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
