Comedian Bill Burr Talks Sports And Comedy Tour
Comedian Bill Burr joined Jeremy Conn to talk about the AL East, the Greed of the NFL, his comedy tour and much more.
Burr will be performing in Baltimore at the Royals Farms Arena on Sunday, June 19, 2016. Burr also hosts a podcast each week called "The Monday Morning Podcast." In addition, Burr has an animated series on Netflix called "'F' Is for Family."
Although, Burr is a devoted Red Sox fan, he says he is glad to see teams other than the Red Sox and Yankees being competitive in the AL East. "I felt like it was bad for baseball when we were both buying up all the free agents. The Yankees were spending $210 million a year, we were spending like a buck ninety. I feel like the whole rivalry got burned out," said Burr.
Jeremy and Burr both agreed that the NFL doesn't do as much for the community and charity organizations as they seem. "The NFL is filthy, dude. If you really go underneath the surface…you know whenever they show someone in the Marines in the crowd and they wave and they support the troops. They make the Marines pay, evidently…I thought if I bought an NFL pink hat for twenty bucks, the twenty bucks goes, other than the cost of making it, I figured the rest went [to breast cancer research]. They give like 3% of the profits. It's a big scam," said Burr.
