Coast Guard Suspends Search For Missing Boater
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- The Coast Guard has suspended its search for a 25-year-old man who's been missing since the sailboat he was aboard capsized in the Chesapeake Bay on Saturday.
Authorities also revealed Sunday that a 40-year-old man pulled from the water after the accident has died.
Rescue crews pulled the man and a 25-year-old woman from the water shortly after the boat capsized Saturday afternoon off Sandy Point State Park near the Bay Bridge. The woman survived. Maryland Natural Resources Police say the man died at a hospital.
The Coast Guard and state and local officials spent about 24 hours searching for the third victim and searched a total of 62 square miles before calling off the search Sunday afternoon. The accident remains under investigation.
