CJ Nitkowski Previews Game 3 Of The World Series
CJ Nitkowski, from Fox Sports 1, joins The Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to discuss the World Series game 3. With the Royals and Giants being tied at 1 and 1 for the World Series, these two teams will resume on to game 3 tonight in San Francisco at 8:07pm ET. There have been many opinions on the competition of this series. Nitkowski says,"This is not an easy one to call. These are 2 easily matched teams. There's nothing to tell that this is a take it all series."
This is the Giants third trip to the World Series in 5 years. So there were many that were thinking the Giants would take this no problem. However, the Royals have a very strong bullpen and are showing they are a force to be reckoned with. The other thing to keep an eye on is right field at this AT&T Park. "This can be a tough right field to play," stated Nitkowski. The Royals have decided to put Jarrod Dyson in center and Lorenzo Cain in right. Nitkowski's take on the Giants batting lineup, "It's a good line up. Hunter Pense is an interesting character, but he gets it done on the offensive side. Buster Posey may be the most underrated player. He might be the guy that is due and may put up some good hits."
When discussing tomorrow's game, Jason Vargas will be taking the mound for the Royals, Nitkowski stated, "Vargas has a really good change up and fastball, but there is a good chance the giants make him pay if he doesn't hit his spots."
Discussing the Breaking News of today regarding Joe madden leaving the Tampa Bay Rays, Nitkowski states, "he is well respected in the industry. He is so impressive." Nitkowski goes on to say, "they were unable to work out an extension. Where he ends up? I don't think he manages next year. I think he will be on television for a year." Joe Madden is one of the most respected managers in the MLB and it is being said he is ready to cash in and might be looking for more of a challenge.
