Child Among Those Injured In Baltimore Triple Shooting
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Gunfire rings out in an East Baltimore neighborhood, striking three people. One of them is a child.
Police say the shots were fired sometime around 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1200-block of Eager Street.
Investigators say the child is a 7-year-old boy. It appears he was playing outside at the time. The two other victims are men.
In a statement, Baltimore City Police said, "The Baltimore Police Department echoes our communities' outrage over the fact that, again, an innocent child has been caught up in a reprehensible act of violence. This was not a random act - and those responsible will be held accountable. Detectives are working tirelessly to close this case, and as always, the public's assistance is greatly appreciated."
All three are in the hospital.
Police are searching for a suspect and a motive.
