Early Morning Lightning Strike To Charles County Home Causes $250K Worth Of Damage
HUGHESVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- A direct lightning strike to a home in Charles County caused $250,000 worth of damage, officials say.
Firefighters were called to the 5600 block of Brandywine Road around 6:31 a.m. on Friday morning.
When firefighters arrived, they found a fire breaking out from the roof of the home.
It took officials about 15 minutes to contain the fire.
Nobody was hurt in the incident.
