Center That Caters To Seafarers Collects Supplies For The Philippines
DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ) -- A special Catholic ministry in Dundalk is now directly helping Filipinos whose families were in the path of the typhoon.

Inside a storefront in Dundalk, the International Seafarer Center helps thousands of the mostly Filipinos who operate the ships that visit the nearby port.
The center is now collecting and giving away supplies for the crewmen to take back to their homeland.
"We, as Catholics in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, believe we need to help people who are in need. And these people are in need, irregardless of their nationality, of their race, of any religious affiliation they might have," said Msgr. John Fitzgerald, Apostleship of the Sea.
The center serves between 2,000-5,000 seamen a year, and welcomes any donations to help those in the Philippines.
