Celebrities To Join Cherry Blossom Festival Parade
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Organizers of the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade are announcing a lineup of celebrities joining the festivities this week.
Singer Marie Osmond and astronaut Buzz Aldrin are among the honorary marshals of the parade on Saturday, along with Olympians Kristi Yamaguchi and Benita Fitzgerald Mosley.
The parade includes giant balloons, marching bands from across the country and elaborate floats.
Entertainers will include singer Debbie Gibson; Javier Colon, the 2011 winner of TV's "The Voice"; finalists from "American Idol"; Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppeler and others.
ABC's Katie Couric and Alex Trebek of "Jeopardy" are joining as co-hosts of the parade this year.
