Celebrate National Lighthouse Day With Tour Of Historic Maryland Structures
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Saturday is National Lighthouse Day, but any day can be spent exploring Maryland's dozen historic beacons of local rivers and the Chesapeake Bay.
Learn the history of these structures, including the "screwpile" lighthouse, from Chesapeake Bay Storytellers, as well as the area's heritage from watermen and finish the day with a bay sunset.
The Maryland Office of Tourism has a complete list of the lighthouses and addresses to help you plan your trip.
