Casino To Roll Out Maryland's First Table Games
PERRYVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Gamblers can start playing table games for the first time in Maryland beginning this week.
Hollywood Casino Perryville is rolling out the first table games Wednesday. In November, Maryland voters approved the expansion of table games, as well as a new casino site in Prince George's County.
Hollywood Casino's debut of table games also means a new phase of the casino's business. It will begin operating around the clock, 24 hours a day, seven days a week beginning Wednesday.
Players can expect to find 12 tables with games including variations of poker, blackjack, craps and roulette. There will also be an eight-table room dedicated to poker. The change comes as revenue has been declining at the casino.
The larger Maryland Live! Casino will begin offering table games on April 11.
