Man Killed, Another Injured In Severna Park High-Speed, Chain-Reaction Crash
SEVERNA PARK, MD (WJZ)-- A Crofton man was killed early Saturday morning when the car in which he was a passenger crashed through a fence in Severna Park and hit a parked car, causing that car to hit the house where it was parked, Anne Arundel County Police said.
Dane Cary Milleker, 21, of Davis, W. Va., was driving a 2015 Honda Civic south on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard just before 4 a.m. when he crossed the center line and went off the left side of the road, police said. Milleker hit a fence and a parked car in the driveway before the Civic came to a stop in the front yard, police said. The force of the impact pushed the parked car into the home and damaged the foundation, and two other cars parked in the driveway were damaged by debris, police said.
Milleker was taken to Shock Trauma with serious injuries, police said. Police identified the passenger as Noah Havey Blonder, 21, and firefighters pronounced him dead at the scene.
The preliminary cause appears to be excessive speed and failing to stay in a single lane, police said. Police are continuing to investigate and have not ruled out alcohol as a factor. No charges have been filed.
The owner of the home spoke with WJZ and said nobody was inside the house at the time of the crash.
Anne Arundel County Police are also investigating the incident but few other details have been released at this time.
