RECALL: Car Seats Recalled After Not Meeting Federal Requirements

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Graco is recalling tens of thousands of car seats after they were found to not meet federal requirements.

25,494 My Ride 65 convertible car seats are being recalled because their webbing does not meet federal requirements for "breaking strength."

Graco is giving out replacement kits for these recalled car seats, free of charge.

No injuries have been reported because of this recall.

This recall includes the following Graco My Ride 65 car seats:

1794334 5/20/2014 through 7/15/2014

Model numbers in the affected manufacturing date range that do not have a webbing tag code of "2014/06" are not affected by this recall, according to Graco.

Check your car seat model number, date of manufacture, and webbing tag code, by looking under or on the back of your car seat.

Locate the white label and note the model number and date of manufacture. Then, find the tag on the webbing of the harness on the back of the car seat and include that date at the bottom of the tag.
