Burglary Leads To High-Speed Chase In Md., Del.
SOUTH POINT, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say an attempted burglary of a South Point home led to a high-speed police chase into southern Delaware.
The Daily Times reports police were called to the home after an attempted burglary Saturday morning. Police say the homeowner fired shots at the suspects who fled.
Police were on the lookout for two male suspects in a white minivan with Virginia tags. A Maryland state trooper tried to stop the van around Route 50 and Route 113. But the van didn't stop.
State police and Worcester County Sheriff's deputies chased the van up Route 113 at speeds faster than 100 mph into Selbyville. Then the suspects bailed out of the van, and the two men were arrested.
