Buck Showalter Talks Orioles Baseball
Baltimore Orioles manager Buck Showalter joins Ed & Steve to talk about Orioles baseball. The Orioles are less than three weeks away from opening day and Showalter lets the guys know how things are progressing in Spring Training.
Ed asked Showalter if he has been watching the World Baseball Classic and how the managers from those teams handle communicating with major league teams. Showalter told the guys that he has been watching the games and pulling for his players and that the coaches from these national teams communicate well with the him.
Steve asked what result he wanted to see from an Adam Jones vs. Pedro Strop match-up. Showalter said he hoped for a broken-bat single.

Steve then asked about how Nick Markakis is coming along with his neck injury. The guys found out that Markakis is doing well and that he will be re-evaluated in a few days to see how the injury is healing.
Ed asked about Brian Roberts health and was told that Roberts is healthy and its more about getting back to game speed. Showalter said he has had to hold Roberts back some but there are no limitations as to what he does.
Steve asked Showalter about the starting rotation and if people can pencil in the first four starters. Showalter told him it looks very likely that Jason Hammel, Wei-Yin Chen and Miguel Gonzalez will be in the rotation and that one of the last two spots will probably go to Chris Tillman.
