BSO Teams Up With European Circus For Christmas Show
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is bringing back a mega Christmas show as it once again teams up with European circus performers.
Monique Griego has more on the holiday Cirque De La Symphonie.
It's Christmas intertwined with body defying acts.
"You'll really see a fantastic marriage with holiday celebration, with circus acts," said Aloysia Gavre, aerialist.
Contortionists tangling their bodies as aerial acts dance through the air to the sounds of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra playing holiday hits.
It's all part of Cirque De La Symphonie.
Alexander Streltsov is the co creator and an aerialist in the show.
"When we fly out, we actually fly out over audience and get to fly out over three or four rows. Sometimes it gets kind of low," Streltsov said.
Combine that excitement with the symphony's powerful sounds.
"You'll never think of some of these pieces of music the same for the rest of your life," Streltsov said.
These performers believe the show will run circles around anything you've ever seen before.
Cirque De La Symphonie has several showings this weekend. You can buy your tickets here.
