Brown To Give Opening Remarks At Symposium
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown is scheduled to give opening remarks at a symposium on the federal health care law.
The symposium in Baltimore on Saturday is being sponsored by Rep. Elijah Cummings and the Congressional Black Caucus.
The title of the symposium is "Making Good Health My Reality." It will provide community members with information about how they can access health care coverage and benefits from the Affordable Care Act.
The event will focus on implementation of the health care law. It also will feature a health fair and a training session for health advocates and ambassadors on the enrollment process as well as best practices on how to conduct outreach engagement efforts for the state's new health insurance marketplace.
