Brothers Sentenced In Document Mill
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Two brothers have been sentenced for selling nearly 10,000 fraudulent identification documents for which they were paid more than $1.6 million.
Twenty-seven-year-old Roberto Morales-Perez of Baltimore was sentenced Wednesday to 6 years in prison in federal court in Baltimore. His brother, 33-year-old Ivan Altamirano-Perez of Baltimore was sentenced Tuesday to more than 8 years. Prosecutors say the men are Mexican nationals living in the U.S. illegally and face deportation when they finish their sentences.
According to their plea agreements, Morales-Perez and Altamirano-Perez manufactured fake identification documents and sold them around the upper Fells Point area in Baltimore.
