Brent Harris Talks Ray Rice, Ravens
Brent Harris, of Comcast Sports Net, called into The Scott Garceau Show to talk about the upcoming football season, and Baltimore Ravens' Safety Ed Reed.

With Running Back Ray Rice signed to a long term deal, Harris said the Ravens could now focus on getting a long term deal done with Quarterback Joe Flacco.
"I think once they got the Ray Rice deal done, they could really turn their attention [to Flacco] and here's the deal: players, especially agents, don't really like to go through a season, even a training camp, negotiating," he said.
Harris also had the opportunity to sit down and talk with Ed Reed and asked him whether or not he would hold out of training camp.
"Well, that was my final question to Ed. I said 'Next Thursday, you have a week and a day, will you be there in pads for practice?' He paused, and he gave that smirk and he said 'Possibly.''
Harris also said there were other factors than Reed's unhappiness with his contract that kept him away from off-season activities.
"What jumped out at me was the fact that Ed told me this off-season he had decided, in his mind, he was done with football, he was retired and that's why he didn't show up at the mini-camps and wasn't around the facilities this off-season," he said.
With Linebacker Terrell Suggs likely out for most of the season Harris said the secondary has the opportunity to become the strongest unit of the Raven's defense.
"I think that secondary can definitely be the strong point, at least from what we saw last year. I think they could be outstanding," he said.
Harris also believes that Kicker Billy Cundiff will win out at training camp, and remain the starter.
"I think it would take a lot to unseat him. I have a feeling he;s going to win that job pretty easily," he said.
