Brandon Williams Named A Top 2017 Free Agent
Baltimore (WJZ) -- Brandon Williams has quite the buzz surrounding him as the off-season officially comes to a close. Williams has remained relatively under the radar outside the city of Baltimore, but that isn't the case any longer.
Pete Prisco of CBS Sports thinks Brandon Williams is the most underrated player in the league. That's a pretty large compliment for a third round draft pick. A claim like this shouldn't surprise anyone if you've watched Williams play since entering the league in 2013. The man is a force on the interior and has made life miserable for opposing offensive lineman.
His play has been exceptional enough for ESPN to include him in their list for top 2017 free agents. This is indeed a contract year for Brandon Williams. If he continues at this pace, he's in for a huge payday. Don't worry Ravens fans. This isn't the same situation that Baltimore has dealt with Arthur Jones or Paul Kruger. These are the type of players Baltimore likes to keep around.
The Ravens have a lot of work to do on the defensive side of the ball in training camp. If that hard work translates to success on the field, it's a good bet Brandon Williams had something to do with it.
