Bradman Powers Salisbury To Division III Title

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Sam Bradman scored seven goals and Salisbury routed Tufts 19-7 on Sunday night to win its ninth NCAA Division III national championship.

Bradman used a variety of moves to set the Division III record for most goals in championship game. But the junior midfielder saved his best trick for last, driving from behind the goal and using a swim move to get past a defender before flipping an underhanded shot into the top corner of the net.

Tony Mendes added four goals for Salisbury (21-1), which avenged an upset loss to Tufts in last year's final.

D.J. Hessler had two goals and three assists for Tufts (18-3), which was outshot 46-29.
