Boy, 11, Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver In Laurel
LAUREL, Md. (AP) -- Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who injured an 11-year-old boy who was out riding bikes with his dad in Laurel.
The boy was struck around 6:30 p.m. Saturday on Whiskey Bottom Road. He suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Anne Arundel County police say the boy and his father were riding bicycles with the flow of traffic when a minivan hit him from behind. The boy was thrown from the bike. Police say the driver fled the area, and officers weren't able to locate the person.
