Boiler Explosion Leaves 2 Hurt At Anne Arundel Co. Middle School
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- An Anne Arundel County school is closed after a boiler explosion sends two people to the hospital.
It happened early Wednesday morning at Wiley H. Bates Middle School in Annapolis.
At least two men suffered respiratory issues in the blast. They were taken to Bayview Burn Center to be treated for their injuries.
No students were hurt in the explosion. They were evacuated and later dismissed from school for the day.
The cause is still being investigated.
The building has been cleared by the building inspector, fire inspector and boiler inspector. No decision has been yet on the opening on the school Thursday.
