Body Found In Boston May Be Missing Baltimore Teen
BALTIMORE (WJZ) ―The murder mystery goes from Baltimore to Charlotte and ends in Boston, where the body of a teen was found mutilated.
Suzanne Collins explains that police think the victim may be Delvonte Tisdale, who grew up in Baltimore.
Delvonte Tisdale moved from East Baltimore to his father's home in North Carolina. He disappeared there this week. Now police in the Boston area think they may have found him dead.
In a nice Boston neighborhood, police make a gruesome discovery: the body of a black male very mutilated found Monday.
"Run in the system prints [shows] he's not known to law enforcement," said Chief Richard Wells Milton, Massachusetts police. "At this time, we have no indication as to his identity."
The body was found just 22 hours after the Tisdale's father reported him missing in Charlotte. The Baltimore teen moved in with his father last year, but relatives tell Charlotte reporters he'd run away several times since.
"This is a quiet neighborhood, so we want to know what happened," said Bruce Edward, father's neighbor. "I called somebody else, and they say 'I think the kid is missing;' they say that's why they called the police."
Now police think the dead person in Boston may be 16-year-old Tisdale.
They found a piece of paper on the body that looks like a hall pass with what appears to be Tisdale's name. The North Mecklenburg High School confirms it uses passes like that. Family says the teen may have hitched a ride with two others headed to Boston, trying to get a lift to Baltimore.
Tisdale's brothers and sisters in Baltimore are discussing their grief on Facebook, but police warn they haven't proven through DNA that it's him.
Police in Boston are looking for a white Audi seen near where the body was found.
The teen was found shirtless and without shoes. And he had no identification.
