Bob Haynie: The Orioles Getting Some Tube Time
As the Baltimore Orioles suffered through 14-straight losing seasons, interest in the team outside of the Charm City was nonexistent.

The Orioles Getting Some Tube Time
Quite frankly, interest from fans here in Baltimore was pretty minimal also.
But when you win, people--and TV networks--start to pay attention. This week alone, the Birds are slated to play twice on national television.
MLB Network's Thursday Night Baseball features the Orioles and Red Sox from Fenway Park. ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball has the Birds taking on the Yankees in New York.
The April 21st game between the Orioles and Los Angeles Dodgers will be broadcast as part of the MLB on TBS package.
Baltimore is also scheduled to appear five times during the Fox Saturday Baseball Game of the Week series.
I'm thinking that if the Orioles are still in contention during the second half of the season, their national TV presence will increase.
On the flip side, losing will probably get them bounced from the rotation. Hopefully, that will not be the case.
You have to admit, it is good to see the Baltimore Orioles get some national attention. This is a storied franchise with a great history.
It's nice to have them being relevant again.
