Bob Barker Donates $2M To Injured Marines Fund
QUANTICO, Va. (AP) -- TV personality Bob Barker says he's giving $2 million to a fund for injured Marines.
The Semper Fi Fund, based in Quantico, Va., reported the gift Thursday.
Barker says in a news release that Americans have an obligation to ensure that injured service members and their families get the best possible care and support.
Barker was a World War II fighter pilot. In 2009, he contributed $3 million toward the National Intrepid Center of Excellence, a research and treatment center in Bethesda, Md., for service members with traumatic brain injuries.
