Boaters Reminded Of Ocean City Race Restrictions
OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) -- Maryland Natural Resources Police are reminding boaters that a section of the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Ocean City will be closed this weekend for an offshore powerboat race.
A one-mile area running from 3rd St. to 30th St. will be closed Sunday between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. for the races.
The department says the area will be marked with buoys and patrolled by police boats. Boaters should also expect delays and congestion at the West Ocean City Public Ramp during practice on Saturday and on Sunday as boats are loaded and unloaded.
