Blues Fest Opening In Hagerstown
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- The blues are on tap in Hagerstown as the Western Maryland Blues Fest opens for a 17th year.
The performances begin Thursday with a free show by local band Rudy and the Bluefish in the downtown university plaza.
Friday brings the official kickoff with British guitarist Matt Schofield headlining four bands in the city center.
Saturday's lineup features guitar slinger Walter Trout. Trout was part of the 1970s blues scene in Los Angeles and went on to play with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers in the mid-1980s.
The event wraps up Sunday in City Park with legendary blues guitarist Bobby Parker headlining four bands.
