Bloody Bat Found At Site Of DC Mansion Murders
WASHINGTON, DC (WJZ) -- Newly released documents show a bloody baseball bat was found in the DC mansion where four people were murdered last month.
According to the Associated Press, court documents show police took weapons, matches, lighters, electronics, cash and credit cards from the home.
The documents don't specify if the items were used to light the house on fire or what kind of weapons police found.
The documents do show that the baseball bat was found in the same room as the bodies.
Corporate executive Savvas Savopoulos, his wife and 10-year-old son, and their housekeeper Veralicia Figueroa died in the home invasion.
According to the documents, an adult male had trauma to the back of his head.
