BLOG: Warm Weather Continues
The warm weather continues, and so do the thunderstorms - at least for now. A round of strong and severe thunderstorms are moving through the state this evening. The strongest thunderstorms will wind down overnight, although some showers and even a thunderstorm or two will linger through the overnight.
The storm system causing all of this will weaken and lift off to the northeast tomorrow. There will be more clouds than today, mixed with sunshine, while the warm and muggy conditions continue. Although there is the chance for a shower or thunderstorm again tomorrow, there will not be nearly as many as today. Even though the storm will be gone on Sunday, there could be enough leftover moisture for a late-day pop up shower or thunderstorm.
Highs will be in the 80s tomorrow and then start climbing on Sunday. By Monday, we will be back up in the 90s and could stay there a few days. The next storm system will not come our way until Wednesday. Expect showers and thunderstorms when it does. Have a safe weekend everyone.
Thank you to all those who gave their lives for this country, and for all those who also put their lives on the lines for all of us.
Also, thank you to all the students, teachers, and parent/chaperones who helped to make our 4th annual Weather Field Trip Day another great success. We had so much fun and are excited to do it all again next year!
