BLOG: These Lions Are Good
It was kind of fun to see. The Detroit Lions hosted the Chicago Bears last night on Monday Night Football. The crowd at Ford Field was amped up and with good reason. The Lions came in undefeated and were playing a division rival. Sometimes a team will shrink under the spotlight the first opportunity they have to be successful. Not these guys. Matthew Stafford hit Calvin Johnson for a long TD (his 9th of the year). Jahvid Best went 88 yards on a TD run, and the Lions defense harassed Bears QB Jay Cutler all night long. What's more, they did it for the most part without blitzing. I know its only five weeks into the season, but these guys are for real.
