BLOG: The Other Draft
Major League Baseball holds its player draft today, and I'm sorry if I cant do anything but yawn. That's because while the NFL and NBA drafts are compelling because we have heard of most of the players, the opposite holds true in baseball. I love hearing fans grade a teams baseball draft, because the reality we have no idea how some high school second basemen is going to be in three years. Sure the Washington Nationals have seemingly hit home runs the last couple of years with Stephen Strasburg and Bryce Harper. The reality is most seasons are a crapshoot. I cant wait to hear from fans about how the Orioles did.
