BLOG: The NFL Dirty Dozen: Week 4
Everyone loves to rank the teams around the NFL, so every week I'll give you my top twelve in the Dirty Dozen.
- Green Bay (4-0) – Aaron Rodgers is performing like a top QB in this league, throwing for 4 TDs and rushing for 2 more in win over Denver. (at ATL, Sunday Night)
- Baltimore (3-1) – Dominating defense that generated 3 TDs vs. the Jets. (Bye)
- New England (3-1) - Brady is Brady and defense gave up over 500 yards to the Raiders. (vs. NYJ)
- Detroit (4-0) – Refuse to lose. Defense shines in comeback vs. Dallas. Calvin Johnson pulling down 2 TDs a game. (vs. CHI, Monday Night)
- New Orleans (3-1) – Over 500 yards vs. Jacksonville. Speed weapon in Darren Sproles. Defense dominated Rookie QB Gabbert. (at Carolina)
- Houston (3-1) – Big home win vs. Steelers leaves big question: How long will WR Andre Johnson be out? (at Oakland)
- San Diego (3-1) – Winning in September? Good sign here and Rivers is heating up. Need to get Gates healthy. (at Denver)
- Tennessee (3-1) – Big road win, Hasselbeck continues to impress with 3TD performance. Solid play on both sides of the ball despite loss of Kenny Britt. (at Pittsburgh)
- Washington (3-1) – Defense held Rams to 172 yards and had 7 sacks. Team is gaining confidence. (Bye)
- Buffalo (3-1) – Gave up 14 point halftime lead to Cincy. Offense disappeared. Are these the real Bills? (vs. PHI)
- NY Giants (3-1) – Found a way to win in Arizona. Eli is playing error free. Osi has a big return. (vs. SEA)
- San Francisco (3-1) – Defense keeping them in games and Alex Smith is managing them. (vs. TB)
And there are several teams lucky enough to be vying for next year's top pick. Here are the five bottom feeders as I see them in the Race for #1:
- St. Louis (0-4) – No Defense + No Offense = No Wins. Good news for the Rams though, they're guaranteed to escape this week without a loss. (Bye)
- Indianapolis (0-4) – Simpler equation here: No Manning = No Wins… Might be able to steal one this week though. (vs. KC)
- Miami (0-4) – Tony Sparano's days are numbered for this team in turmoil. (Bye)
- Minnesota (0-4) – Is it time for the Vikings to Ponder a switch at QB? (vs. ARI)
- Denver (1-3) – Is it Tebow Time in Denver? (vs. SD)
