BLOG: Sunshine, Good Weather For Thanksgiving And Black Friday
After having some rain over the last few days, high pressure has moved into the area today bringing nice weather. Beautiful weather for Thanksgiving and Black Friday is in the forecast with plenty of sunshine and temperatures higher than average for the end of November. There will be a breeze at times.
High pressure will provide another day of great weather Friday with a continuation of the warming trend. The high tomorrow will surpass 60. Not much changes on Saturday, and temperatures could go higher.
Things get a little more interesting on Sunday. A cold front will approach from the west and at this point it looks like rain will not arrive until the afternoon or late in the day. Until then, Sunday will probably be pretty nice. Models show that this front gets hung up on Monday as a trough in the upper levels cuts off and forms an upper level low. There are huge differences between the models on how this is handled and where this upper low ends up. There is a possibility that this system sets up in a way so that Monday is rainy here. This system could still be around on Tuesday...or it could be long gone, depending on which model you want to believe. To make a long story short, the next three days are going to have great weather which will not cause any travel problems in the region.
Sunday will probably also be fine for much of the day, and then the weather will become unsettled later
Sunday and next week.
