BLOG: Sunny & Dry Christmas Weather
Merry Christmas!
If we can't get a white Christmas, today is a good alternative. We topped out at 48 degrees, above the average of 43, with a lot of sunshine. We will hang on to this dry weather for one more day before a new round of rain moves our way.
Expect mostly sunny skies again tomorrow, but with a gusty wind out of the northwest. That is normally a cooler wind for us, but we will still top out above average in the upper 40s. Then, the next storm arrives on Tuesday. Clouds will take over, with rain arriving during the day. This storm will quickly race off to the northeast by Wednesday. However, it will draw some colder air down behind it and the rain will end as snow in western Maryland. When the storm does leave, the colder air will overspread the state - knocking temperatures back down to average.
There is another storm that will move our way Friday into Saturday. It does not look to be a big one, but could bring some showers with it.
