Rob Long: Sort Of A Reunion
University of Maryland Head Coach Randy Edsall will face his former team for the first time since departing after a 48-20 loss to the Oklahoma Sooners in the 2011 Fiesta Bowl.
Recently Edsall expressed regret over not saying goodbye to his players after that loss, but there's no regret towards taking the job in College Park. Edsall's Terps are 2-0 after a 36-27 win at Temple, but they expect a very physical and emotional game this Saturday at Byrd Stadium.
Senior Cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson said, "It's one of those things where I don't know how it's going to be. Yes, we're practicing hard this week, but that's because it's a game we need to win."
With that being said, the upperclassmen on the University of Connecticut have the emotional advantage of having something to prove against the man who recruited them. One thing's for sure, when the ball's kicked off at 12:30 the 2-0 Terps will have their hands full against a team that's deperate in more ways than one.
