BLOG: Replay In The World Series
The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Texas Rangers 3-2 in game one of the World Series last night. The thing that has me fired up after watching the game is something that has been bugging me about MLB for a long time. Simply put: no real instant replay. It's not a huge play but with one out in the 9th, Adrian Beltre fouls a ball off his foot. He immediately reacts like he got hit, which to me would instinctively be hard to fake. None of the umpires see it though and ball rolls to the third basemen, he throws to first, 2 out. In a one run game, that could have been huge. Replays showed that the ball hit him in the foot. It would've taken a minute to see it. Stop being stubborn Bud Selig. Let's finally join the 21st century and have instant replay in Major League Baseball.
