BLOG: Ravens & Bears Trade Error
It wasn't pretty but the Baltimore Ravens got their man. With the 26th..I mean 27th pick in the NFL Draft the Baltimore Ravens selected cornerback Jimmy Smith from Colorado. The trade between the Ravens and the Chicago Bears was agreed to but never materialized. Smith was going to be their pick anyway so other than the fact that the Bears are liars, it all worked out. The Ravens now have a potential shutdown corner to go with probowler Ed Reed in the secondary. The selection of MD wide receiver Torrey Smith in the 2nd round gives them a wideout who can stretch the field. Now lets get this lockout settled so we can think about actual football!
