BLOG: Pump Your Brakes Ravens Fans
Maybe it just fans in general, but I have worked in Baltimore radio for over 10 years and I feel like the fans in this town overreact.
Everyone was too high when the Ravens trounced the Steelers. I was O.K. with that because of the importance of the game. Then after the week 2 loss, everyone has gotten way too low. This is a marathon, not a sprint. The Ravens are still going to be a playoff team this year. They will still have an excellent opportunity to win this division. They played a really bad game on the road and lost. That's it, one loss. It doesn't mean they will suck the rest of the year. It doesn't mean they wont win another game.
If you go back to last year, the Superbowl Champion Green Bay Packers lost games to Miami, Detroit and the Washington Redskins. Two of those game were at home. The Patriots were blown out by the Browns last year. Losses happen, just don't lose your mind over 1 game.
