BLOG: O's Gut Punch
The Orioles were four outs away from breaking a four game losing streak last night. Jeremy Guthrie was rolling along with a shutout. All of a sudden an error, a base hit and then a 3run home run from Justin Smoak and a 2-0 lead turns into a 3-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners. I never thought this Orioles team was great by any means, but that was an absolute punch to the gut. As an O's fan that's a loss that still hurts the next day. Its up to Buck Showalter and company to be ready to change their fortunes in the next game.
