BLOG: One Game Seasons
Game 162 is usually irrelevant in baseball. Teams are finishing off there seasons and getting ready either for the playoffs or the offseason. Not so this year as we have four relevant contests. The St Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves are tied for the wild card in the National league, while the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays are tied for the wild card in the AL This means the Baltimore Orioles get to play in what amounts to a playoff game tonight. Alfredo Simon takes the mound against Jon Lester. I would urge O's fans to go out there and enjoy it but I'm reluctant to sell you on fools gold.
