BLOG: Mark Reynolds
I just want to start by saying I like Mark Reynolds, I really do. I liked the move when Andy MacPhail brought him to the Orioles from the Arizona Diamondbacks in the offseason. I said before the season began I thought that Reynolds would hit 40 home runs in Baltimore. I thought he'd strike out a TON but would still hit a lot of bombs. The season started off really slow with the bat, even for his standards. That part of his game has come around a bit. He's hitting around .220 with a team leading 13 home runs. His defense though? Ugh!! Once again last night, Reynolds booted a potential double play ball against the Pittsburgh Pirates and a close game became a laugher. I can deal with the low batting average and the strikeouts, but the defense HAS to get better!
