BLOG: I'm All For Second Chances, But
Michael Vick should never be allowed to own a dog again. There are people out there who feel based on what he did in the past (the dogfighting, etc), he shouldn't be allowed to play in the NFL again. I'm a dog lover, and as disgusted as I am by what he did, he paid his debt to society by serving jail time. We are a country of second chances and I believe in them. There are some places where I draw the line, and for Michael Vick, that is dog ownership. He can play for the Philadelphia Eagles. He can play in the pro bowl for all I care, but having a dog is a privilege he should do without.
