Blog: Free Agency Frenzy
I absolutely love this time of the year. There's March Madness, Opening Day is on it's way, Wrestle Mania (don't judge me) and, of course, free agency in the National Football League.
Free agency began on Tuesday at 4pm and the fun has just begun. The Baltimore Ravens have several players who they needed to take care of, but it seems the league is just as interested in taking them away.
Ben Grubbs has been in New Orleans visiting since the beginning of free agency period and now it looks as if the Washington Redskins are in the market. It looks like Grubbs is going to be a former Raven by week's end.
Jarret Johnson is a Raven, or at least he use to be a Raven. He has signed a four year deal with the San Diego Chargers. The speculation was that he would either land in New York or Indianapolis to hook up with one of his former defensive coordinators. He crossed everyone up by "Bolting" to the West Coast.
Other notable moves include Cortland Finnegan reuniting with his former head coach in St. Louis. Jeff Fisher should improve that situation and have them moving in the right direction.
Pierre Garcon will play in the Nation's Capital with a new quarterback. He and RG3 will hook up. Garcon had some success in Indianapolis and could help the development of the Baylor rookie.
The big splash was made in Tampa as they got former Charger Vincent Jackson. They also signed guard Carl Nick and cornerback Eric Wright.
