BLOG: Are The Ravens Ready For Pittsburgh?

Well... it was tough to tell just where the Ravens are from their fourth preseason game against the Falcons in Atlanta Thursday night. We didn't see the starters in uniform, Tyrod Taylor exited the game early with a shoulder contusion and Coach Harbaugh was still holding "tryouts" in the game that thankfully did not count in the win/loss column.

Coach Harbaugh addressed the media today at the Owings Mills facility and said he's not too concerned about Taylor's' injury, stating it is "not that serious." But still, do the Ravens need another quarterback to back up Flacco in case of emergency. Can Ozzie Newsome get Marc Bulger out of retirement... and is he the answer?

Taylor and new WR Lee Evans, who has been in a walking boot all week, as well as center Matt Birk, who underwent knee surgery at the beginning of training camp, did not practice today. The Ravens will have the weekend off and will return to practice late afternoon on Monday (Labor Day) where the locker room will be open to the media for the first time this season. We will have updates on all of the injuries and finally be able to chat with ALL the players about their health and their thoughts on the Sept. 11 match-up with the Steelers. Is this team ready for what is arguably the most important game of the year?  Do the Ravens HAVE TO beat the Steelers at home and how important is it for them to start off the season with a big win against their rivals.

We all have so many questions... Your thoughts?
